13 May Summary of Agape’s Responses to COVID-19 Pandemic
Good morning Agape family worldwide,
This morning I will take a break from my regular SURVIVING COVID-19 exhortation to refresh your memory about our church’s response to COVID-19. A few people are still asking, what are we doing and how can I help?
Also, Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone”, so if someone asked you as an AHOW member, what is your church doing about COVID-19? I want every AHOW family member to be able to clearly state how we, as a church, have been responding and also to know how you can help.
From the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis in the USA, AHOW has been responding in prayer. At the end of today, we would have done 59 days of intercessory prayer (6 am & 9 pm daily) against coronavirus. We started with our #VICTORYOVERCOVID-19 PRAYER, which has now metamorphosized to #COVID-19TOREVIVAL PRAYER. Prayer is our number one calling as the body of Christ, and I am glad many AHOW members are participating in these prayers.
COVID-19 has negatively affected many of our members due to the loss of jobs, and as a family, part of our responsibilities is to support our fellow family members who have lost their jobs during this period. Hence, for the past eight weeks, we have been doing just that. I want to thank everyone who has donated in several ways.
As a church, our outreach has not stopped because of coronavirus pandemic. Here is an outline of some of the outreaches we are doing.
Prayer Walk at JFK Medical Center: On Friday, April 10, some AHOW members participated in appreciation rally for frontline worker and prayer walk at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Trinitas Hospital, Elizabeth: For the last two months, AHOW has been assisting in proving launch weekly for medical staff at COVID-19 Ward at the Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, New Jersey. This is our way of appreciating people on the frontline.
Roselle Food Program: AHOW has been partnering with a sister Church in Roselle, Chestnut Street Community Church, and the Borough of Roselle to provide food for struggling families in the Borough of Roselle. We have provided both food and volunteers to help struggling families.
Join Daily Prayer: Join our daily prayer at 6 am and 9 pm. Our 9 pm-9:45 pm prayer is dubbed COVID-19 TO REVIVAL PRAYER. We believe that God will turn COVID-19 to revival in our church and our land. Join our daily Prayer Teleconference at (908) 293-8320.
Volunteer: As opportunities arise, we will be sending an email asking for volunteers for different outreaches, we encourage you to please volunteer.
Donate to AHOW COVID-19 Relief Fund: As the shutdown continues, the financial impact on our members and the world around increases. Hence, we encourage you to help support people impacted and our COVID-19 outreaches by donating to the AHOW “COVID-19 RELIEF
