01 Jan WELCOME TO 2021: OUR YEAR OF SPIRITUAL ALIGNMENT
Dear Agape family everywhere, I want to welcome you to 2021, OUR YEAR OF SPIRITUAL ALIGNMENT! May this new year usher into a place of alignment with God’s plan and purpose for your life in Jesus’ name! Our God is a God of times and seasons (Ecclesiastes 3:1). In his wisdom, he has allotted his graces, blessings, and purposes according to times and seasons, and he has given us the opportunity to enjoy them accordingly (Genesis 8:22). Hence, when times and seasons change, God’s emphasis, operations, and activities can change even though he himself does not change (Daniel 2:21). Even though he lives in eternity, he has apportioned his activities here on earth according to time, and it is our responsibility to understand and align with his season. When you read scriptures like 2 Corinthians 6:2, “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation),” it is an indication of God’s timing and a call to respond. It is our responsibility to understand his timing and respond appropriately to it. In fact, our lack of understanding of God’s timing can cost us a lot. We must be like the children of Issachar, “men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” Since God works with us according to the time of life (Genesis 18:10 NKJV), we must be attentive as we move from year to year what God is doing. As we step into 2021, it is an indication of a shift in God’s operation on earth. As we transition into a new year, there are things God will continue, there are things he will change, there are things he will stop, and there are also new things he will begin altogether. It is our awesome privilege as children to seek things that are revealed so that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29) I am glad that he has given us a word for 2021. It is Our Year of Spiritual Alignment. He is inviting us to align our understanding, thought, faith, and action with him to partake in what he is doing. God has not called us to do much; he is only asking us to abide (or to align). He does all the work: victory, miracles, prosperity, transformation, provision, and increase. All I must do is to align. All is there for you to enjoy if we will align. May we have the wisdom and courage to align with him in 2021 in Jesus’ name. Sincerely, Pastor Jide Lawore Prayer for the New Year, 2021
